PERMANENT MAKEUP & MEDICAL TATTOOING
New England’s premier solution for state-of-the-art micropigmentation
Specializing in semi-permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation, scar camouflage, 3D nipple-areola complex reconstruction, and paramedical oncology services.
Restorative medical tattooing can be a critical step in a healing journey.
Throughout history and time, tattooing has been used as an adjunct for expression, religion, symbolism, and hope. It has a powerful healing impact on physical and emotional healing.
It is often a client’s “cherry on the sundae” where they can put an end to what often was a long, fearful journey. I invite you to book a consult with me and explore your possibilities.

— Beatrice Pillet O’Connell
Meet your medical & cosmetic tattoo artist.
My name is Beatrice Pillet O’Connell and I am a medical and cosmetic tattooist in Maine. I work with women and men who have experienced trauma, surgery, genetic conditions, or disfigurement and want to feel confident about their appearance. I help them regain their sense of wholeness through semi-permanent makeup and skin pigmentation solutions for scarring, vitiligo, burns, hair loss, alopecia, post-mastectomy, and more.
For women who have gone through breast reconstruction, face lifts, skin grafts, or any surgical scarring, I offer a wide selection of professional re-pigmentation solutions and skin care. I specialize in 3D Nipple/Areola complex reconstruction after mastectomy. My technical expertise includes customized pigmentation for matching the perfect skin tone. The result is a subtle alchemy of hues and effects for a perfect balance and realistic effect.
After going through the difficult and emotional journey of cancer treatment, I promise to help women heal through medical tattooing and regain their power, femininity and wholeness.

Frequently asked
questions about
medical tattoos
Q: How long does micropigmentation last?
A: Whether it is called permanent or semi permanent, it is important to know that nothing is permanent.
The good news is that micropigmentation implant of the inks is much deeper than microblading.
Microblading deposits the pigment only between the first and second layers of the skin, as opposed to micropigmentation’s implant in the second layer of the skin.
Various factors will determine how well the pigment will retain. Because permanent makeup is exposed to sunlight it will slowly fade away. Brows will need touch ups every two years to remain fresh as will lips. Overall, expect a touch-up every 2-5 years. This includes scalp micropigmentation. Nipple-areola complex will last ten years as it is protected by clothing.
